Sings of the Times

The things I liked about this novel was the different take on the end times & how there was no pre tribulation rapture and that Christians are going to go thru the tribulation period written about in the Bible. I've been a student of eschatology for years now & believe that there are evidences that Christians will have to endure these times. However, the novel was replete with spelling and grammatical errors. If you can see beyond that you may enjoy it. The only thing is, it really didn't have an ending. It stops just before half of the tribulation period is over. That is what I found to be very disappointing. I looked to find out if the author had written a sequel, but was unable to find one. The novel did keep me turning the page, but I would like to have had an ending instead of being left hanging. If you don't mind this, then read it, but if you're looking for a novel with more "information" about the tribulations, remembering this is not actual fact but a novel, then I would skip this one.

Good story, bad writing

The story was compelling and very plausible. What if there isn't a Rapture? The characters are ordinary American Christians, facing the last seven years on Earth. The characters weren't as well developed as they could have been, and there was a slight overemphasis on martial arts and military tactics.
The editing was horrible. That, coupled with a need for some grammar lessons, will normally cause me to discard a book. But this story needed to be told.
If Mr. Edwards intends to write a sequel, I suggest he consult a writing instructor first. And I hope he does write a sequel.
