He received his Ed.D. in Educational Supervision at the University of Louisville, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Early Care and Education State Advisory Committee as well as the Pennsylvania TEACH Advisory Board.

About the Author
Marilyn Wolf is Farmer Distinguished Chair and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her BS, MS, and PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1980, 1981, and 1984, respectively. She was with AT&T Bell Laboratories from 1984 to 1989. She was on the faculty of Princeton University from 1989 to 2007. Her research interests included embedded computing, embedded video and computer vision, and VLSI systems. She has received the ASEE Terman Award and IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Education Award. She is a Fellow of the IEEE and ACM and an IEEE Computer Society Golden Core member.. She is the author of two successful Morgan Kaufmann textbooks on embedded systems: Computers as Components, Third Edition (2012; 4e under contract); and High-Performance Embedded Computing, Second Edition (2014).

Clear, simple and illustrative

Easy to enjoy, chapter 2 instructions sets, chapter 3 CPU and chapter 4 bus-based computer system covers basics of hw. the figures/diagrams are distinguish-ably simple and illustrative in making good point, chapter 6 focus on OS, overall the book covers a wide range of subjects from CPU to design and performance without being too academic, seemly to have particular strength on BUS and video related topics, many of the example code using ARM instructions.

Dr. Charles Lee Feinberg was one of the nation's leading authorities on Jewish history, Old Testament languages and customs, and biblical prophecy. He grew up in an orthodox Jewish home, studying Hebrew and related subjects in preparation for the rabbinate. Dr. Feinberg was involved with a number of research organizations, including the Society of Biblical Exegesis and the American Schools of Oriental Research at Jerusalem and Baghdad. He was the Dean, Professor of Semitics of Old Testament at Talbot Theological Seminary from 1952-75 and Dean, Emeritus, Professor of Semitics and Old Testament at Talbot Theological Seminary from 1975-79. Best Commentary on Ezekiel from Dispensational Viewpoint

Teaching or preaching on Ezekiel can get tough, but Feinberg provides a fine interpretation of the text from a Premillennial, Dispensational, and Conservative viewpoint. Feinberg believes God is not through with Israel, but has future plans for his chosen nation (yet personal salvation is only available through Jesus Christ).

The book is highly intepretative, seeking out the original intent and meaning of the text. Feinberg often lists options of interpretation (from a conservative viewpoint) and then concludes which view seems the best.

Although it is anything but dumbed-down, this is an understandable work, not bogged down with numerous (unncessary) references to the Hebrew; Hebrew words that are significant are sometimes briefly expounded. This is 293 pages of meaningful interpretation, no fluff nor tedious technicalities. Feingberg does sometimes include a brief but meaningful application of the text.

This work is invaluable to pastor, professor, or serious layman alike. Ezekiel can get thick, but Feinberg is a great freind to take along on the journey! By far the best!

A really great book. I treasure finding authors like this. After reading this book and Dr Gaebelein's book, not to mention reading each chapter of Ezekiel dozens of times, and Dr, McGee's Thru The Bible tapes, I finally at least scratched the surface of this magnificent book (Ezekiel). It is such a blessing that we have been given such great teachers. Takes some diligent searching to find them, but it is so worth it.

A short review of The Prophecy of Ezekiel by Charles L. Feinberg

This book is a reprint of an earlier publication. Dr. Feinberg a conservative theologian and recognized O.T. authority has done an excellent job of joining the technical with the devotional. Ezekiel is a difficult book to understand for the average layman, but Dr. Feinberg does much to make the book clear. I am using it, along with others, to prepare a series of Bible study lessons for an adult Sunday school class. It has very quickly risen to the top of the stack of sources I'm using.

Michelle Ray has a knack for taking centuries-old stories, shaking off their cobwebs (though keeping a few for good measure) and making them fresh and exciting for teen and adult readers alike. Ray tells this story in new and fun way, while also connecting with the real struggles of teenagers. Like her other two books, Ray creates a story that pulls in the reader and connects them with her world, making The Bard not only appealing but compelling, even for those who would not otherwise be interested. Definitely worth reading!

Reading "Mac-Beth", "Falling For Hamlet" and now "Much Ado About Something" gave me a new understanding and appreciation of the novels I read in school. I think teens AND adults would enjoy AND understand Shakespeare so much more, after reading any or all of Michelle Ray's books! They are ALL an easy, fun and entertaining read!!!!

Another fun read by Michelle Ray! I just can't get enough. I absolutely love her modern takes on these Shakespeare classics. If you loved Falling for Hamlet, her first book, as much as I did, then don't wait! Like her other books, this does a great job of standing alone even if you've never been into Shakespeare...but is awesome for those of us who love the Bard as well.

My opinion on "Goose Bumps Horror Land"

My Book report is on the book called, "Goose Bumps Horror Land" and it is about a group of kids visiting a carnival, and they do not realize that the carnival is run by monsters in disguises. The kids are running down a hall, and a security guard stops them to ask where their parents are. One the kids said, "we came here without our parents." Then, the guard removed his mask and he was a creature from the unknown, then the kids were all frightened, so they all ran away. Then 3 other monsters ganged up on them, and kidnapped them. One of the creatures wanted to make them slaves. The main creature said, "let's just give them a chance", so he did. He asked the kids their names, were they lived, and why they came without their parents. So, the monsters let the kids go. When one of the boys got home. He realized his parents were acting different, then his mom and dad took off their masks, and they were monsters, and the dad monster said, "hey kid, come with us, then you'll get your parents back, okay?" The boy was stunned but he went to the carnival to find that all the other kids were there to. He said, "what have I done?" And that was all of the book.

Lizze and Luke are back, but silly villain

Book Eleven in the series changes format. There are no longer two stories, just one. The characters Lizzie and Luke Morris, from the original "One Day at Horrorland," return to the park to save the other kids. They have no other choice, but to go through the Hall of Mirrors and enter the black & white Panic Park. There are no exits, and finally the person behind the horror is revealed.

This is an exciting sequel. It was great to see Lizzie and Luke back. I was disappointed with the villain. I expected that there would be a much eviler menace, maybe even an old villain from the original series. Overall, I enjoyed reading it.

DEEP SEA VERBOSITY

This classic, WAR & PEACE, attempts to awaken the reader to the realities of media that lie hidden in his own mind. These realities are composed of the everything in the current "electric world," of signs, of real words and nonsense sounds, of pictures, of stuff, of technologies, of clothes, of weapons, of food, and of chemicals, all of which McLuhan calls media and the extensions of man. Can the reader who knows nothing of the pre-electric world be awakened to perceive it? A difficult question since there are all kinds of readers from the primitive to the scientist to the computer programmer.

Indeed, McLuhan and Fiore take the reader on a impossible journey into the guts and gear works of the human brain. Did the Authors bridge any gaps or just create new, unknown ones? Everything about this book is difficult. This includes the often obscure passages on every other page from Joyce's FINNEGANS WAKE.

The Authors advance the notion that all behavior, war and violence, stems from man's search for his identity. "So that today war, as it were, has become the little Red Schoolhouse of the global village."(P. 125) War has become the educator and education becomes war. "No one has studied what degree of innovation is required to shatter the self image of a man or a society." And how can man understand himself when he is always engaged in "rearview mirrorism?" Man looks backward because he can't see forward.

In addition, all the media surrounding man is merely raw material for man's info processor, his brain. Thus man is hooked on his current media like a drug addict is hooked on that which alters his sensual input. Man, himself, is but a collection of information. Immersed in this sea of info, like a fish in water, how can man sort out those bits that beg for priority? By understanding the info that composes himself, can man escape his own senses, those that compose and shape his every move? One doubts it!

Not possible to read

This is the book that first used the term "global village". The book is written in another language. I have tried hard to understand it, but it just dows not work. The author must have been high when he wrote it. Remember it was written in 1968. I do not deny that there are some phrases that seems prescient, but as a book i is just not readable.

From our computer realities, one can easily define theirs as an integrated inter-net, linking one another through digital media that is light speed.
